Each piece is uniquely designed and hand-sculpted in polymer by jewellery artist Jude Radwanski.
Her inspiration is found in ancient artifacts, natural elements and age-old patinas.
Her wearable art may include accents that are antique or recycled, semi-precious stone, pearl, glass, brass, silver, bronze or pewter. Jude has collected beads from Africa, Bali, Thailand, Mexico and Italy, as well as from treasured jewellery boxes.
A variety of processes are used to create the art components including hand sculpting, carving, painting, veneering, crackling and embossing. The metal is soldered, cut, pierced, formed and cast.
Verdigris, rust and applied patinas are used in the creations to give them character and age. It reflects the thousands of years man has been making and wearing jewellery.
Jude Radwanski creates her art jewellery in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. After an interior design career she studied silversmithing at George Brown College in Toronto. Her passion for colour, texture and pattern led her to sculpting in polymer clay.
